As you can see, I’ve been changing more than a few things around here in MiniM. It’s not that l love change — well I do– but that I’m still trying to discover what’s the best way to implement my dreams. That, and, that I’m keeping the work on Newsies & Bootblacks, of course, but we will speak about that a bit later.
Changes to the design of the blog.
Since the very start of this game I’ve been struggling to find a compromise between a theme that says “I’m minimalist” and “I make games”, and a design that reflects that. But to be honest, I never got what I wanted and so, damn the compromise… full minimalism ahead.
There are tons of game manufactures are there, let me stand out from the crowd with my own design philosophy: “just enough but not any less”. And if you can’t see by the text I’m designing a game then no design could fix that.
Changes to The New Paris Banner
Just one, a very simple one. The New Paris Banner will stop publishing soon. It will stay online, at least until the domain name expires, and it will keep providing its playful share of inspiration material. But seriously, I’m stopping it. So how may I compensate you?
Instead, from now own , everything that I will ever publish about the game will be posted right here, on Minimrpg. That way I can focus on one single place and not make you have to wander among websites and social engines.
By the way, I’m improving slightly on twitter, but still not doing well enough. I’m giving it a month, and then, I’ll decide.
Increasing my participation in rpg forums
The generic social engines don’t seem to work so well for the hobby. At least not for me, so what I’m doing is to increase my participation in on role-playing forums and the like.
Hey, but not as a level 1 Spam Monster, but following these rules:
Up to five forums. (I’ll be sharing which ones; suggestions welcome)
Be helpful, be there.
Let people know me, instead of pushing them with ads.
Changes to the schedule
Every day I’m working faster and faster on the draft. I’ve finished Chapter 5 — part of which it’s already available here and once Chapter 6 is finished it would only be 3 small chapters to polish. So perhaps, just perhaps, I could be sending the draft to my editor by next week.
Changes to the content
Not many really, just that I will be sharing more about role-playing design, and more about what other small game manufacturers are doing. Little reviews of game I love.
I won’t be sharing anything about what games I dislike. Call me old-fashioned but I think it does not befit a gentleman to speak wrong of a competitor. And besides, I have little time for junk.
Still, MiniM Role-Playing will still be the main show, my central focus, because if I don’t share what I have to offer and what I’m learning, heck, I don’t know who could do that for me.
Thoughts? Comments?

I like this minimalist theme, but i like more the old one, with the pretty New Paris map as top banner, soft colours, etc.
Hope you find your best look. I haven’t tried to deal with mine yet.
I do something like you’re going to do in forums, but in spanish rpg blogs. I read through and comment posts in the blogs I find more valuable.
Have a nice weekend.

Thanks Tonisan,
You know the proble with having too many choices is that you can’t choose.
I could work with the colors, I think. Nobody says minimalism has to be white.

The game draft is a major hindrance. Most themes are designed to deal with a small number of pages. Because of the rules draft I have like 30 and going up fast.
I’m considering consolidating the whole thing into a single page. Ideas?
